Rising Star is a proud participant in the Silver State Quality Rating Improvement System. This program raises the standards of early childhood education by ensuring centers are providing quality care in a variety of areas such as; Health and Safety, Classroom Materials, Low Teacher to Child ratios.QRIS exceeds the Nevada Childcare Regulations and requires centers to fulfill higher standards.
WHAT IS QRIS?
A QRIS is a systemic approach to assess, improve, and communicate the level of quality in early and school-age care and education programs. Similar to rating systems for restaurants and hotels, QRIS award quality ratings to early and school-age care and education programs that meet a set of defined program standards. By participating in their State’s QRIS, early and school-age care providers embark on a path of continuous quality improvement.
Security is our top priority! We have several features throughout our facility the ensure the safety of every child in our facility.
Our doors are locked at all times! Upon enrolling families are assigned a unique code to enter the building. Unauthorized guests must ring the doorbell and are unable to enter the facility without permission.
Our Doorbell system is not just an ordinary doorbell. Guests that are not authorized in our facility, must ring our doorbell to seek assistance. Our doorbell is equipped with a camera and intercom; allowing us to see and speak to guests without having to open the door. Another feature to ensure children are safe inside our facility.
Each classroom, including the outdoor play area are equipped with 24 hour recording cameras. Our cameras are backed up every hour to ensure continues recording.
The facility is wired to an alarm system which includes motion sensors on each door to ensure we are aware of any movement on the inside and outside.

We focus on helping children learn responsibility in conjunction with life science. Each day children are responsible for ensuring their class pet and plant have been feed and cared for. The in turn learn how taking care of these items by providing them with their needs helps keep them growing. This activity helps children feel important and needed inside their classroom environment.
Rising Star isn't just another school, we are a family committed to working hard for every student! We happily participate in community events, and events that help our students! Here is our staff at the Make-A- Wish Run where we helped sponsor one of our precious students to make his wish come true! We truly believe that we are helping build a community to serve a community!

Every classroom has a natural air purifying system that helps eliminate germs in the air.
Using a diffuser in our classrooms is a great way to keep cold, flu, and other illnesses at bay that works on three levels. First, many essential oils are powerfully anti-microbial and when introduced into the air in vapor form, the organic compounds within the oils come into direct contact with airborne pathogens before they can invade your body. Second, essential oils can also be used to boost the immune system. Last but not least,our diffusers also double as humidifiers which will help to keep airways moist and healthy so children are less susceptible to any microbes that do make it into their body.
We use ProCare software to send daily reports, pictures and videos of your child's day. ProCare can be downladed on any smart device, and can be logged into anytime/ anywhere to see real time updates about their child's day! ProCare is a great way to keep families involved with what we are doing in our classrooms and a way for families to see what their child is doing throughout their day at Rising Star!
Families at Rising Star love getting updates of their child's activities and being involved in their daily education. Families can also leave us messages through their account that will be sent directly to their Teacher. It's a great way for parents to communicate with the classroom Teacher and Director whenever they have questions or need to let us know any important information. Our families are raving about this system and how they feel so connected to their child during the day!
